During the Summer 2006 semester, the computing facilities located in ASM 1001, 1002, and 1003 were
remodeled to house a Student Tech Support Center (ASM 1001), a Virtual Computer Lab (ASM 1003), and
an Advanced Computer Lab (ASM 1002).
The Student Tech Support Center (STSC) is designed to assist Anderson students with their wireless devices by providing hardware and software technical support. If a student purchases an Anderson recommended DELL system the staff will be able to perform all warranty work on site and loan a system to the student. Additionally, six printing stations will be available to Anderson students in the STSC.
The Virtual Computer Lab (VCL), located in ASM 1003, will provide for computing resources of the existing computer labs, including all course specific applications such as SPSS, JDeveloper, and VMWare. The main feature of the VCL is that these resources will be available from anywhere in the world our students get on-line. For more information on how to use the VCL, please visit the Virtual Computer Lab page.
The Advanced Computer Lab (ACL) will be used by courses at Anderson which require specific software which may be too costly for students to purchase. Faculty will reserve and use the lab according to their computing needs listed in their curriculum.
